Three words I never thought I’d use in the same sentences were “Inspire” and “Life Insurance” – that was, until now. There’s a bunch of commercials from Thai Life Insurance that are getting a lot of attention on You Tube; and at around three minutes each, they are more like “mini movies” than commercials hawking a product. But despite how long or short they are, one thing is for sure – they are beautifully made, inspiring and heart wrenching – and it’s near impossible not to be affected by them. They don’t even mention life insurance at all, but rather at the end ask the viewer to consider the dignity of the people involved. In short, they are poignant, and really touching – definitely not something we associate with life insurance commercials from our western culture.
Here’s a sample of one in which a young man spends each day unselfishly helping out the same people, day in, day out, and for what? Why does he do it? What does he get out of it? Watch the video and you’ll find out the answer in three minutes or so. Enjoy.
If you liked this commercial from Thai Life Insurance, then head over to You Tube and seek out the others. Just don’t forget to bring along some tissues, because trust me, you’re definitely going to need them.
