Regardless of how much the holiday season changes, or becomes more and more stressful to tackle, pay for, etc. one thing about it has remained a constant in my Christmas experience; it’s the feeling I get from watching (and hearing the jazzy catchy soundtracks) the 1960’s classics “A Charlie Brown Christmas” and “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”.
They are so simple, so sweet, and touch on the key messages of respect and joy towards our fellow man; or in the case of the latter, our fellow green hairy mountain-dweller.
Here’s a short clip of both, followed by the full soundtrack of “A Charlie Brown Christmas” for you to enjoy while (a) quietly sipping eggnog or hot chocolate Christmas morning before the kiddies wake up and (b) once they’ve retreated to their rooms after dinner, and you are quietly, happily doing the dishes, contemplating just how wonderful this season really is.
If you like what you see, and they conjure up the “warm and fuzzies” for you the way they do for me, consider adding them to your holiday Facebook shares this year.
Either way, enjoy the “Dickens” out of them… if you know what I mean!
And a Merry Christmas to you and yours, from me and mine!
Much love and blessings to you all! David and Tristan
